Blake's first gig was a four-hour radio show that he hosted on WJEL in Indianapolis. After his schooling in Indiana, Blake began a professional broadcasting career in Austin, TX, at KHFI and KBTS. That experience led to KTSA and KTFM in San Antonio, and then to KLUV and KISS-FM in Dallas – all top-rated stations in large markets.

While on the air in Dallas back in the 90′s, one of Blake’s fondest memories was his friendship with the late and world-famous Wolfman Jack, whose air shift followed Blake’s at the old KODZ (Oldies 94.9).

In 1999, Blake was presented with the Dallas Mayor’s Award for excellent work ethic and for overcoming challenges while working at Bank of America and KISS-FM.

Blake became an author in 2006 when his book Blind For A Purpose was published. It’s a wonderful work of encouragement. Blake says he wrote the book to "challenge us all to be grateful for the lives we have and for the hardships we endure to make us stronger in our hearts."

Blake is the host for Zig Ziglar’s weekly Inspire Podcast on ziglar.com. In addition to his work at the Ziglar Corporation, Blake produces trend-setting voice-over work, audio productions for corporate websites, television and radio commercials, and station branding, also known as "imaging," through his company Blazin’ Blake Productions.

Blake is available for speaking engagements at conferences, service organizations, churches, clubs, and schools. His is a story of gratitude and optimism in a negative and sometimes ruthless world.

Blake’s goal is to travel around the country and provide motivation and encouragement to others at speaking engagements and book signings. He has an unusual amount of contagious enthusiasm for life and it shows in everything that he does.
